Disc did NOT work

I ordered this disc because it seems to hiccup on my desktop and sometimes freezes. Better get active. I connected the drive to my desktop and it was recognized as drive letter E. Great. However, I soon became frustrated because EVERY disc I put in the drive bay showed a window asking me to insert a disc. Didn't I just do it? I've verified that all the drives I've tried can work on my desktop (in a drive), so I know the problem wasn't with the drive but with the drive itself. Good; This purchase will be returned.
