I wait a few years to review electronics and electronic components before writing a review. Many of you, especially the manufacturer, will tell you what to expect over time. This item was purchased on February 17, 2017 and has been out of service for about a month. I have tried everything to make this hub work, but over time it no longer stays in place and detaches (i.e. there is no longer a direct connection). In addition, the cable at the hub broke. The picture doesn't show how loose the end is, but if you can zoom in on the app you can see where the cable is sticking out and breaking. I assume that something like a simple hub will never fail. In comparison, I bought an Apple Direct Hub for another MacBook and it still works great.
