Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Optimized Epson Duet Dual Aspect Ratio Projection Screen - 80 Inches by Ryan Chaplain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredibly cute! for TV & Video

It's nice to be impressed when you open a new Revain product. Reviews are important to the buyer and they were to me. I had to add my two cents: this product kills. I have classes once a month and needed a good portable screen to replace my old projector screen from the mid 60's. Some of my students complained that my old projector and screen were too small and too dark. Bought it after reading the reviews. I am very happy. It's well made and a little heavy, but not too heavy. A fairly strong stand keeps it stable at high altitudes (screen base 33 inches from the floor, top 76 inches from the floor). Folds up in no time for travel. Built for years of travel. I accidentally walked into my office in the dark while the screen was being installed and banged on it pretty hard. There's a lot of bulk and "wiggle" in the design, so there was no damage. I really like this design! Regarding the screen curvature comment, I found a very simple solution: fold the screen in half about 6 inches from center along the top and bottom edges. "Don't bend it." Just bend it back almost 180 degrees and it will add a little "strength" to the middle span, completely solving the screen distortion problem. I made mine once and it took a few weeks, but it's quick and easy and results in a perfectly flat screen. In combination with my new Viewsonic DLP 5133 projector I am literally light years ahead of my old system. My students will be happy and my presentation will be much more professional. If you need a KILLER portable display or a display for home use where you either mount it on a wall or place it on a tripod a little away from the wall, grab one of these before EPSON drops the price to $299 elevated where it should be. ! Suggestion to EPSON: Take another $5 and provide a good cloth bag to keep dust and bugs away from this beautiful device during shipping. That's so pleasant! (I might make my own.) UPDATE: After using the new screen and projector combination for my last class, I had to share the positive comments from our students. They liked it!
