Review on πŸ”¬ Enhanced Precision with Elenco Soldering Station Magnifier & Illuminator by Erick Bowers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Okay, I never felt like writing a review after receiving an order, but this one.

OK I've never wanted to write a review after receiving an order but I really have to say this. Like you, I've spent countless hours looking for a 3rd Auxiliary Station only to find 5 or more companies selling the same crappy 3rd hand assistant for $8-10. Didn't know what to do, there was nothing between this mess and paying, but you can't solder a board or wires if your third hand falls over. So I ordered this model and it wasn't the one listed above. Well delivered, delivered quickly, nothing broken. The base of the stand is on par with about 4 cheap models in terms of weight and finish, and they have been clever by placing the soldering coil holder and AA battery box at the back for even more weight balance. I buy solder in spools, that's great. If anyone needs to know, the little black object on the T-bar is the solder feeder. I removed the solder holder because I prefer to use the one that came with my 888-D. The only assembly is to loosen the very good stainless steel Phillips screws on the back and pry back the soldering clips; Do this first, but don't put the coil on until the batteries are in. Otherwise you are done. Lay out the sponge, golden wool, extra flux and go! One final note, the lamp and LEDs were superb and of the finest quality. high-quality glass than even my desktop reader. Sorry guys, no bad news. If you want the real deal, here it is. You get what you pay for. And for me, that meant I had no issues with the third-hand setup with backlit magnification. You might be a little hesitant to drink one, but it won't disappoint.
