The device supplied is not suitable. The fan blade was not properly seated on the rotating shaft and was vibrating when I tested it. I had to remove the existing fan blade and remove the motor from the included mount and then modify the shaft with a Dremel tool so I could use the old fan blade. Then install the motor on the bracket of the failed device. I had to cut off the connector that came with it and solder the original electrical connector to the new block to connect to the original speed switch. It took a few hours but now it works fine. It's not just plug and play if you have an old Rangaire hood.
