I doubted the installation would be as easy as packaged. It was. Carefully pry the clips on all 4 sides except the adapter and the outer shell. Remove the four screws from the current fan trim ring and remove it. I taped the adapter (using painter's tape) to the trim ring so I could install the assembly without assistance. I reused the current trim ring screws. Tighten screws. Snap the shroud back onto the adapter. Gently tap on all four sides until the panel is flush with the ceiling. I did the installation including reading the instructions twice, assembling the tape and screwdriver in about 15 minutes! That's great! Now when I stop at a motorway service station for the night, I can block the parking lights from my bedroom!
