Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Sanus Systems XF228-B1: Full-Motion Flat Panel Mount for 42-Inch to 90-Inch HD Pro TVs by James Pope

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent, easy-to-install, secure, full-motion mount for flat screens up to 90 " and 175 lbs.

I love this mount. Was very easy to assemble, fully articulated and very stable. I had some hiccups adjusting the back of the TV to fit my TV's 400mm width, but a quick call to tech support resolved the issue. I didn't want to use too much force to spread the plate after removing the two set screws. Turns out I was just too gentle. The mount itself weighs around 50 pounds and comes in a 56 pound box. Very powerful. Unfortunately I didn't have a good wall to put it on, since my intended location was the back of my brick chimney (chimney on the other side of the wall). All I had was drywall over brick. So I spent the time framing the false wall flush with 2 x 4's and clad it with plywood. It took a while to install the cable groove for a clean fit as well. I covered the wrong wall with wallpaper to match the rest of the room and the viola is the perfect place to install it. Please note that some people continue to fiddle with the product description. According to Sanus, the XF228 (B1 stands for "black") works with screens from 42 to 90 inches and weighs up to 175 pounds. It is also NOT discontinued (there was a silver color model, the S1, that was discontinued, but the B1 will still be available in the foreseeable future (according to Sanus). I can't think of any improvements that would require the product. To update. I covered the wrong wall with wallpaper to match the rest of the room and the viola is the perfect place to install it.
