These shoes are often advertised as "lifestyle shoes" and rightly so. They look great and go with almost everything from khakis and ties to shorts, all in a cool retro style. However, I would not choose this shoe for running or exercising. They're casually comfortable, but compared to a pair of 2014 Nikes or Reeboks, they almost feel like Converse. So basically if you buy them for everyday walking and retro vibes you will be very satisfied. If you're buying these to run, then you'd expect 1985 technology (read: shin splints) from these "classic running shoes".
