This didn't disappoint, especially for the price, but cautions users for a large 50-55 inch TV. The size of the TV determines the degree of movement. Because your hands stay close to the wall. That's why I personally wanted this model. If you can accept a smaller rotation angle, this is a great mount. We get a span of around 60 inches versus 80 as advertised for a 55-inch TV. I'm happy with the smart design, solid construction and ease of use. Although not recommended, I used Simpson Strong-Tie wall anchors as I don't have bolts to cut into. I think if you've only had a TV for a few years and aren't tugging on it, you can do without spikes. I would recommend if you don't have a bigger TV and don't need it to cover the full 80 degrees. I still gave them all high marks, even though I think their marketing was a little less than expected. Good brand, good price, works.
