This thing is way bulkier than most retractable cords. The main problem, however, is that the magnetic tips detach too easily and remain in the phone after charging - and they're so tiny you won't notice them until the next charge. It would be very easy to lose one. For example, when my son charges his phone in my car and then goes somewhere with his phone and doesn't see that the charging tip is still there. In the meantime, I go to charge my cell phone and there is no tip. And if you lose one, that's $15 down the drain.
