It sucks to find out after you have something that it doesn't work. I (still) had a Nebula 44. An excellent monitor. But Ultra Too Wide isn't for everyone. I tried. It was great for space games, but I was starting to want about the same width but more vertical room to work with. So the Nebula C40, with a traditional aspect ratio but nearly the same width, made the most sense. extra bonus? I'm not on the monitor. I sit about 2 meters apart. At that distance (I mean I'm using it now) you can't see any pixels or anything. You have to get closer to realize that this isn't 4K. It's important to note the extra 20-40 fps I get compared to a 4K display. 2K is an ideal point for people who have switched from 1080P gaming monitors. I had light rings. This is the VA panel. But their own "Overdrive" setting, set to "high," seems to take care of that. Freesync works great with my 6800xt. I like 144Hz because the card can actually do that in most games, so I'm sticking with HDMI, but be aware that you won't be able to get really high refresh rates unless you use the SUPPLIED (yes, included) cable DP HDR is pretty damn good. Do yourself a favor, find it in settings and turn it on. A small remote control is always a nice touch. This is now my third scepter monitor. The first had a bad accident. The second is still great, just not suitable for some games where you need more vertical space. And I think this one is almost perfect. The only thing that confuses me is that the screen is a bit shiny. The curve helps remove a lot of glare, but they're there. I could spend $50 on a 39 inch anti-reflective sheet. You are here. A good reason to go for these, let's say they have many advantages over a 4K monitor from last year, is the refresh rate. The best you can get on a 40-inch 4K screen is around $500 for 60Hz. You might get lucky and find 75Hz. Now you won't find even 100Hz under a thousand on a 40-inch or larger 4K display. I personally don't notice much of a difference between 100Hz, but eyes are different. 60Hz is a deal killer for me. Just other oddities, in the image settings they have a "normal" parameter, it's absolutely terrible. But if you roll it up to "custom" where you can change the settings and change NOTHING, it looks amazing. It's like they later realized their "normal" setting was terrible, so they added a decent custom default. I tweaked the defaults a bit. Max brightness, contrast 55, HDR on, etc. Overdrive had a big one Influence on FPS games Hope this helps.
