I grind organic red winter wheatberries into bread flour. This dry grain bin's Vitamix motor and blades are powerful enough to grind 2 cups of durum berries into flour in 40 seconds. If I want four to be a little rough, it gets the job done in 30 seconds. That's great. The bread is mixed and kneaded in a container and then baked. I love it. It's made of hard plastic, so it's feather-light and cleans with soapy water by turning it on. Very easy. Before I invested in the Vitamix, I was trying to get a grinder attachment for my blender. It was so noisy and it took so long to grind the berries that my blender overheated and the berries were still in the bin. I returned this grinder and bought a Vitamix. In my opinion the best kitchen appliances ever made. Always use both containers. I highly recommend the investment.
