This is a soft foam with a sticky film on one side. If you don't move them, they stick perfectly and stay in place. But like me, you'll need to move them around once a week to access your camera - expect a short lifespan. I gave this 3 stars because the parts I attached (and never removed) to my tablets and phone cameras stayed securely in place for months with regular handling and travel - and when exposed to heat and light moisture. On the other hand, 2 parts that were placed on my Dell XPS permanently lost their grip within the 1st month of use after being carefully removed/replaced once a week. Pros: Stay firmly in place once installed (as long as they are not moved regularly). - Leaves no residue when removed, even after exposure to warm or humid environments - Won't scratch even the finest surfaces - The elongated covers are small enough to fit Dell XPS laptops with narrow bezels. Disadvantages: - quickly loses stickiness with regular removal. / Replaced with the camera instructions that came with the cases, which says to quickly rinse the sticky side with water and let it air dry to reactivate the stickiness. It didn't work for me - tried with 3 different parts.
