I wanted a case that would protect my screen during storage and fit well. This cover meets both requirements. I've read too many complaints about Garmin's hard plastic cover and I'm glad I went down this route. The cover is made of soft silicone that protects the front and sides of the display. It also has an 1/8 inch hem at the back to keep it in place. I don't know if it would stay in place when the boat was going at full speed and nothing was blocking the wind, but few covers would do. I use this when I take the finder out of my kayak and stow it.
