Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced Klipsch RP-140SA Dolby Atmos Speaker by Anthony Shields

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple construction, significant improvement in acoustics.

I had the cables ready so all I had to do was connect the speakers, calibrate with Audyssey and in 5 minutes I was ready to insert the Blu-ray. I chose Pacific Rim 4K as my first disc and it was amazing. These things don't take up any extra space (because they're sitting on top of your existing speakers or being wall-mounted), but the sound becomes a lot more immersive. sticky floors. I then hooked up a standard Blu-Ray Wagner Ring Cycle (no Atmos) and the speakers still added to the overall experience. They appear to be duplicating the speakers they sit on, adding volume to the overall sound. Even if you're just starting to build your UHD library (like me), you really should consider it if you have an amp that supports Dolby Atmos. If you have a Klipsch system (especially the Reference/Reference Premiere) they are a great match. Both acoustically and cosmetically.

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
