The idea is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. As you can see from the photos, this whisk is smaller than the Kitchen Aid whisk which makes the paddles on the sides almost useless. You can see that the Kitchen Aid whisk gets a lot closer to the edge of the bowl than this one. We bought this because the Kitchen Aid doesn't reach all the way to the rim and we expected paddles around it to solve the problem of the whisk not beating everything off the sides of the bowl. This whisk absolutely does NOT work as well as Kitchen Aid. The only good thing about this whisk is that it's a bit longer than Kitchen Aid and will scratch the bottom of the bowl.
