The adapter has a terrible design flaw. The adapter has an air valve that does not fully close and allows air to pass through, preventing priming. The air valve can be fully or partially open. (See attachment.) (I don't even know why it's an air valve in the first place.) Also, I couldn't get it off after I put this special device on the hose. Maybe you could use some DW40 or something. Another thing is that the set has a terrible smell. I've noticed this same smell from things coming out of China. I wonder if it's a pesticide? My returns window has closed on this. Someone suggested sealing the holes with duct tape, but I didn't want to mess with it. I ended up just throwing the whole set in the trash. I cannot recommend this set and will certainly not buy it again.
