First the good: These spoons are above average sturdiness. They are not flimsy. They also look nice. If you're in a rush and that's enough for you, you don't need to read anything more. Buy them. They're fine.Now the Neutral or Less than Neutral: First, there is nothing about these spoons that makes them "Thanksgiving" spoons. But I guess that could be kitchy fodder for you and your guests to laugh about if you want to. It's a gimmick. Also, while these spoons are sturdy, they are not the sturdiest or most heavy duty spoons. I included a pictures of them (they are the clear spoons) next to the heavy-duty white ones I usually buy. My typically-purchased white spoon is larger and sturdier than these. As one last little nitpick, the box is supposedly perforated so you can open it in a way that dispenses them, but even though I was careful, I couldn't get the box to tear on the perforation.I give this product overall 4 stars because even though these are not the best disposable spoons out there, they are reasonably heavy duty spoons that will hold up to your sweet potatoes or whatever at your Thanksgiving (or any other) dinner. You can definitely do far worse than these. Having the box with a turkey that has utensils for tail feathers might be good for a laugh. Pin the spoon on the turkey, anyone?
