Good Price - Portable Speakers and Docking Stations

When I bought this I didn't read the description very carefully and thought it was a lot smaller than it actually is. The specs say it's the size of a golf ball and I didn't read it so it's my fault. I was hoping to have something to carry around in my shirt pocket, but it's too big for that. It would be fine to carry in a purse or maybe cargo pants, but not in a shirt pocket. However, he actually does what he claims to do. I have a Samsung Glaxay S6 Active smartphone that already has a pretty loud speaker, but sometimes when there's a lot of it I can't hear it clearly because I'm partially deaf in my left ear and have a lot of tinnitus. I wanted something much louder than my phone's built-in microphone. There is no doubt that this mini microphone is louder. It's definitely louder. However, it's hard to say how much louder; So I decided to do some tests. I have a BAFX 3370 Digital Sound Meter which I bought here at Revain about a year ago. I have a BAFX3370 digital sound level meter. I placed the phone about two inches from the sound level meter and played the song on the phone at maximum volume. I set the counter to the maximum value in decibels. The phone accelerated to 89.4 decibels. I then played the same song on my phone with the mini speaker connected at maximum volume. The maximum volume was 94.4 decibels. So the total difference is 5 decibels. I'm not an audio engineer, so I really don't know much about how to calculate a 5 decibel difference in terms of how much louder that is than 89.4 decibels. The thing is, decibels are hard to calculate even for experts because so many other factors are at play. I'm only posting the results of this test to show that my Galaxy S6 Active's microphone is louder than the built-in speaker. It is true. To my ears, this mini speaker is significantly louder than a phone speaker. I hope this review was helpful. If yes, please click the "USEFUL" button. Many Thanks
