Review on Smart speaker Yandex Station Mini without clock with Alice, black onyx, 10W by Jnis Labucis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, I advise you to try it.

Without the components of a smart home - a thing, for the most part - a useless toy. After playing with Alice for a couple of weeks, setting up smart home scenarios (which, by the way, can be configured in native device applications, without using the Station), I practically stopped accessing her. True, it’s still cool for children to build household appliances with their voice, and just chat. But this is temporary. And for a Smart Home, Station 2 is probably more suitable due to the built-in Zigbee gateway. But for the difference in price, it's better to take a separate gateway))

Pros
  • 1. Good microphones 2. Alice 3. The sound (for its size) is not as bad as expected. 4. More or less tolerably controls the smart home by voice (delays are small, but annoying) and very good - according to scenarios. 5. My wave in . Music played not only on the road, but also at home.
Cons
  • 1. The connector is non-standard for today. Could also screw USB-c. 2. The speaker cannot act as a source of music via bluetooth. Those. you can’t wirelessly output sound from it to some fancy receiver with premium acoustics, although this solution also suggests itself. Only through the minijack (aux), which is inconvenient. 3. For smart home components connected via tuya or smart life - Voice control is very thoughtful. At the same time, from tuya and smart life themselves - everything is instant, and for devices directly connected to the Station - everything is also pretty fast 4. The functionality of "smart" devices in the Smart Home is greatly reduced, compared to the same smart life (for example, smart sockets do not have service information about energy consumption) or only an online picture without history is taken from Rostelecom's video surveillance cameras. And some devices (online thermometers, for example) are not supported at all, which greatly limits the creation of scenarios (more precisely, they have to be created in smart life)
