It's not about craftsmanship, it's about design. Regardless of the bolts used, this product design is not optimal for punching bags. I had this hanging a 100lb Thai style bag as my workout progressed that the bag attachment was having stability issues. I would check that the screws/bolts are tight and not loose. The harder you hit the bag, the more the real hanger wobbled, and it got to the point where I felt uncomfortable kicking or hitting the bag hard. I eventually switched to a Promount design with built-in dampers, which is more expensive but does a much better job of reducing shock, vibration and noise. This hyes4all log hanger is a good idea, but it just doesn't have the support it needs when installed in a single joist/joist. It was too good to be true, stay away from this product if you are looking for a consistent quality product.
