I LOVE this blanket. It took me a few weeks to get used to sleeping with him, but now I'm looking forward to snuggling with him. I sleep with it all winter and it's not too warm. In fact, the fabric has good cooling properties. It's a bit hot to sleep in the summer, but I live in Vermont and we don't have air conditioning. If your home has air conditioning all year round, that's probably fine. The beads are quite quiet when moving and the weight is well distributed. Plus, unlike other brands, it's machine washable. This is very important if you have a cat who loves to snuggle up to whatever is comfortable for you. I bought a case for it but I don't really use it as even with the ties it tends to slip inside. I also just like the feel of the quilt fabric. This is a great purchase!
