I have to make one small restriction. the word "extension" can be misleading. The expander acts like a relay. So, to connect to your home network through a repeater, you actually need to connect to the repeater. If you tend to move around your home/property/office and need the strongest connection available, you may need to switch back and forth manually based on what is relative to the particular location you are in a wireless router is strongest or extension. That was fine for my purposes as my work computer stayed in place. I only had to switch Wi-Fi networks on my phone while working at this location.
