I wanted something generic like this as I have several standard HDMI cables but electronic devices that accept Micro HDMI will never come with these cables delivered, and I wanted a multifunctional thing that would help me remap them. Can we get one of these other species instead? Seriously.) Well, damn it. The biggest design flaw here is that Jack cases have gotten so thick. Modern electronics with Micro-HDMI simply do not leave enough space in their panels to accommodate this adapter. Both of my cameras (Panasonic, Canon) that use Micro-HDMI couldn't fit that darn thick adapter in them (not even close enough to think of sanding down some of the plastic to make it fit). My Canon camcorder, which uses mini HDMI, has plenty of room around the connector and handled the mini HDMI part (and it worked) - so I'm giving it my (generous) 3 stars. However, I wanted it to be micro-HDMI specific, so I returned them and got a custom cable (after checking the pictures much more closely). I don't see any other adapters like this at Revain so I suggest you make it your own.
