Review on Kichler 337012IV Accessory 4 Speed Control by Sondra Sikes

I hate this fan controller. I originally picked this controller for its four speed settings and loved the image of the fan on the switch. After installing the controller, I found that the movement of the switch wasn't smooth and easy. If you moved quickly through the positions, the controller crackled and sparkled noticeably. When I saw sparks I decided this switch was going in the trash. I also didn't like that the locations of the controls aren't intuitive. When you move the switch up from the bottom "off" position, the fan starts running fast, and then slows down as you move the switch up to higher positions. (level 1 is fast, level 4 is slowest) For the price, I expected a higher quality controller. I ditched that switch and installed a single pole Lutron Skylark 1.5A, 3-Way, 3-Speed, Quiet Fan, model CTFSQ-F-LA, which cost me $20. I am much happier with the Lutron controller. This is a quality switch for almost half the price.
