I like that it can be shared, so everyone involved in research has access to information about what's being used or synthesized at their institution without having to send email attachments back-and-forth.
The software itself could use some work; most things are clunky, including searches/queries and saving time cards (which we also do manually now which would help cut down paper usage). However, there have been updates recently - hopefully this will make searching easier! We've found using Elnar instead reduces overall costs by reducing wasted printing materials as well as cutting paperwork out when sending reports across organizations between institutions as people move around labs.
