I have carpal tunnel and 2 types of arthritis in my hand. My prolonged use of the computer becomes painful. The pain in the joints can be so severe and the swelling so great that I inject directly into the bone joint. In the past year I've tried probably 8 different mouse designs and manufacturers. I like that this device is rechargeable, so the slightly higher price is offset by not having to keep changing batteries. Being able to charge it from a USB port also helps as I can use it while it's charging. The ergonomic design immediately catches the eye. I was expecting it to take some time to adjust to, but surprisingly it didn't take the expected learning curve. Initially, the style and design seemed less painful. It glides easily and the controls are convenient and accessible. My only issue with it is the size. I have a small hand and this mouse is too big for my hand. My thumb fits in well, but the rest of my hand doesn't fully cover the right side of the mouse. The height forces me to rotate my wrist slightly inward, reducing the effectiveness of the ergonomic design. I think it would make sense for the manufacturer to think about sizing. We need one that isn't as tall or wide for those of us with small hands. After a few weeks of use I am not getting the relief I was hoping for due to the fit of the device. A smaller version can be more comfortable for millions of people with sore hands.
