Used these as a replacement wherever I could find a T5 connector in the dash of my 2002 Ford Focus which I noticed the dash lights were becoming very dim and faded. (Also got some 194 size LEDs from other sources for instrument lighting). They are very bright and the light distribution is good with 3 diodes per bulb, so in areas where the number of bulbs is designed to illuminate a large area, climate control in my case. Indicator lights like turn signals and high beam are just too bright, so that's a good thing. In fact, the brighter high beam indicator catches my attention and rather reminds me to turn it off for oncoming traffic. However, I had an odd issue with the ajar door light as it seems dimly lit even though all the doors are closed. This can be a similar problem for some non-'fault-free' LED dome lights where they still receive enough voltage to stay dimly lit even with the doors closed. It must have something to do with the way door switches work in some older cars. It's not too annoying though, and in this case, unlike the non-faulty lights, the door-open light goes out completely when I turn the ignition off completely. I use a set of red ones for the turn signals with red lenses as they look more pink with white bulbs. The red bulbs might look dimmer, so the light from a ajar door might be less noticeable even if left on for a while. They are polarity dependent, so if you don't have a light on, take it out and rotate the bulb 180° and your car should instantly light up like a nightclub on wheels! I can only talk about my first generation Focus but if you have it it's very basic and well worth it. You simply unscrew the 3 screws from the top of the dashboard housing and then pull it out and the steering column top cover. Then it's just 4 screws in each corner of the sensor assembly and it pops right out. There's only one cord with a plug that has a latch that opens and turns to the left and then it's free. All lights are rear accessible in small screw cap sockets. First you may need a small pair of pliers to unscrew it. Air conditioning bulbs are also easy to replace. Just pull out the radio with special keys (if you still have a head unit) and unscrew the 4 screws in the corners of the radio cavity, after which this whole rounded triangular frame pops out. The bulbs are then accessible on the back of the climate control panel.
