Every time I pulled out of the garage I bumped into the garage door (low ceiling). I actually broke the whole assembly once and it cost me over $500 at the dealer to fix. Another silly move, I stopped too soon before the door fully lifted and broke off the antenna rod. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO After doing a lot of research and calling the dealer to tell me if the bottom assembly broke it would cost me another $500 to fix it, I was determined to fix it myself. Oh, and the dealer said they can only replace it with the original part, which is a dumb stem and black base (my car is white). I've seen recent shark fin models of the Infiniti QX60 and it looks a lot better aesthetically and don't worry about it hitting anything, I googled how to replace it and someone's awesome video got me here. I received it SUPER fast and had this bad boy in my car in about 5 minutes (via YouTube instructions). I didn't tell my husband I broke the antenna until I fixed it and he was actually impressed. Very elegant, fits up to a T to trim my pearl white car. Definitely worth the money and it's so easy to put on that even my 4 year hold helped. LOVE IT.
