I love my Birkenstock clogs. I have arthritis in my left foot, so my podiatrist advised me to wear Birkenstocks at all times, even at home. He explained that most shoes are flexible and the bones in my foot just flex with them, causing them to rub against each other. The same applies to walking barefoot. The tags give me a lot of support and I rarely feel any pain. I no longer use a cane or hobble around to slow down my family and friends. I usually have to buy wide shoes, but the Birkenstock medium size fits me perfectly. My only problem with them is that I have to buy a new pair every year. . Cork outsole wears out at rear. Since this is literally the only shoe I wear all year round, of course I have nothing to complain about!
