This cooler has saved my life since the day I received it. No more frozen bottles, no more fish kills, I'm starting to enjoy my aquarium hobby again :) Pay attention to the size as it will determine the minimum flow required and the appropriate pump. Make sure the fish can handle the heavy flow of water from the pump - the cooler is basically an addition to the pump :) I bought 1/10 for my 70 gallon tank and it's more than enough. It cools water from 75 to 68 degrees in 2 hours and is surprisingly quiet! A large cooler will cool the water faster, but it will also have a higher flow rate that you will need to adjust. I recommend a pump with an adjustable flow regulator. I'm a female and new to aquarium keeping, so it took me several trips to Home Depot for the right plumbing parts, a trip to the pet store for a pump, and a few days to set it up and customize it to my needs, and I can tell You - it's so expensive, but it's worth every penny!
