Works well but you get what you pay for. The base into which the base is screwed is underthreaded (thin thread). Tightening the lock nut loosened the threads slightly. I had to weld a nut to the base so the base could hook onto it. This solved that problem. Even with all the adjustment knobs tightened, there is still play between the different parts if you wiggle the device. Not too much of a problem, but it's not difficult. Those issues aside, the base works well and is easily adjustable in any direction. For the price it's ok. This solved my unique assembly problem.
