I have to admit I was a bit scared during the first few steps of the assembly process. It seemed incredibly weak and the illustrated portion of the instructions was very poorly presented. It is essentially composite wood with a dowel/cam arrangement. Considering I originally bought something like this from a fairly expensive retailer that had many months in stock, and only $60 more, I expected the item to be comparatively close. I just feel that at $262 it's way overpriced for the size and quality of the item. I expected more in this price range.
