I really liked this toaster. Its retro style and color are perfect for my kitchen. We use it every day. A few months ago the external heating elements stopped working. It takes a lot of time to turn the toast and make sure it is completely done, especially in the rush to get 3 kids ready for school. I called Smeg and they said it cannot be replaced as it is over a year old. Since repairs are very expensive and almost nobody repairs toasters, it is advisable to simply replace them. I am so disappointed. Especially since it happened with such an expensive toaster. I won't buy any other.
