2012 Ford F450. When I bought my truck, I only had one key. I accidentally programmed it as MyKey. I bought two of those keys and took the truck to the Ford dealer. They successfully cut and programmed these two new keyfobs and it cost me $64 to cut and program both. Everything works correctly. For some reason, my service rep thought the process for using remote start would be as follows: 1. Press the lock button on the remote twice, 2. Then press the remote start button three times and hold it a third time until the car starts . He was wrong. 1. You press the lock button twice. 2. Then press the remote start button twice and hold it a second time until the car starts. To turn off the vehicle, press and hold the remote start button again.
