Bought so I can see the uneven sidewalk at night. The light has three brightness options. One I call a regular flashlight, one very bright, and finally a flash. The head is adjustable so you can point it down. In addition, the light has not only a white beam, but also a red one. I use this when I'm on my bike to show it from the back. Attention-getter, yes. Battery usage for this low battery indicator is approximately six hours. I haven't tried the high beam battery life, it will probably be around four hours. The head extension strap is easily adjustable in length and comfortable.
