To be honest I really like the concept of the gate and its initial setup. However, the product description for its extension did not mention how this process works. I learned this the hard way when I bought an extension that I thought would work with the Gate to extend it and now I'm dealing with this company trying to make a product to return, which is completely unusable for my purposes. 3-panel goals work on "even" and "odd" designs. The gate leaf with the door is called "flat”. The panel on each side is described as "odd". To extend the gate, the "odd" panel must be attached to the "even" panel, and then the "odd" panel is attached to the "even" panel. etc. All this information was not in the original description and after much research when I received the product and the wrong panel that was offered for purchase with the gate I understood the problem. I ordered an "odd" extension when I needed an "even" extension for my purposes. I've searched all over Revain and many other websites until I finally found a "uniform" extension. Carlson didn't even have the item in stock, nor did the company I bought the "weird" gate from, who I'm currently arguing with about their policy. My new 'odd' extension should be here tomorrow which I had to pay more for as I dispute the situation with another 'odd' extension that I bought through a third party company and listed as 'often bought together' "was recommended." "Once the gate is fully functional and installed I expect it to hold up well. Fingers crossed as one dog is recovering from knee surgery and my other dogs are from the area at this time have to be separated.
