I bought this for my bedside table and I love it. The light does not blind your eyes. So if you have to turn it on in the middle of the night, you won't be woken up by a shock and your eyes won't have to adjust to see. The speaker works well, no complaints. Sound quality is good for a single speaker. No deep bass, room-shattering feel, but I like it. I love the convenience of wireless phone charging. You really have to place the phone just right for it to charge. It's a bit annoying. In addition, there is an indicator light that glows orange when the charger is not in use. The orange light will flash when you try to find the right place to charge your phone, then the light will turn blue and your phone will wake up when you find the right place to charge. The blue light bothers me at night because I like a very dark room when sleeping. I solved this problem by covering the bulb with black tape. I pick it up to see if my phone is charging, then put it back in the light while I sleep. Not ideal, but I still like this lamp. The lamp is fairly light, not very strong, so I wouldn't give it to a small child as they will likely break it if they are too rough. A teenager will probably enjoy it as long as they don't handle it roughly.
