I would choose a different jack. It's not "heavy duty" and rather unsafe in my opinion. I bought it on 11/21/17 and used it for the first time on 12/18/17 to change tires. The jack raises one side of the rear axle of my small Mitsubishi 6 cylinder SUV, but slowly loses pressure and lowers the axle after only a few minutes (at first I thought I was seeing things!). Yes, I tightened the knob all the way clockwise. They don't joke in the description of the item when they say it doesn't even support one side of the axle! This item is not safe to use without a stand. I couldn't get under the car so figured I could change tires pretty quickly (no stands and go fast). Not so fast. The pressure began to drop quickly. I thought I did the right thing by buying a slightly more expensive and larger 3 ton heavy duty jack. Not the best choice. My old 3 ton jack that I gave to my son will hold Gibralter for as long as you need it, even for hours (although we always used jack stands for safety). He would really stand alone! Not this one! Carefully. If I had to do it again I would really choose another one! Updated 10/01/2018. I had to go back and rate it a "1". She earns zero. I stuck with it and it wasn't safe since I took it out of a new box. It starts to lose air pressure and immediately begins to slowly descend!. Please be careful with this product, it is not safe.
