Review on Delta Faucet RP46463 Small Chrome by Pop Henneghan

Leak @ 16 months

Update September 27, 2019 I ended up calling Delta support to see if I was eligible to ship the valve to me. A customer service representative stopped by to tell me the valve was under warranty; HOWEVER, the representative confirmed my loyalty to the brand and the validity of my request. It took a week to arrive, but I was able to replace my plumber's delta emergency valve on his truck. The product support is worth at least one star more. There is no long term verdict on this valve yet and I will try to keep it updated. ----- ----- ----- Every shower in the house is equipped with high-quality Delta valves! 16 months later I get my first rapid drip that just won't stop. My plumber noticed right away that these are fairly new components. Valve removed, everything cleaned, components reinstalled - without success. Expedite repair by replacing the RP46073 cartridge adapter that plugs into the valve body. Still a constant fast decline! Eventually the repair was activated by replacing the RP46463 cartridge assembly and the leak was eventually stopped. It wouldn't be a big deal if the complete cartridge didn't cost $50! WITHOUT WORK. Now I have to sit back and watch the rest of the $50 shower cartridges fall apart. WITHOUT WORK. ProsPlumbers love this valve! The valve can be replaced in 15 minutes. This valve is good for economy. Your plumber is sending you a Christmas card! at least an hour's work at God knows what price. I can replace the entire valve every 2 years for less than buying these cartridges. $50 was the cheapest price I could find for this cartridge and I looked at over 20 different sellers. In a home with multiple showers, you will need at least 2 spare cartridges. You have to learn how to maintain these valves yourself, otherwise you have to pay for the work each time.
