Large phones are too heavy for this holder.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and this mount couldn't hold it straight so the screen sits squarely on top of me. It pointed downwards, making it useless for this purpose. It's good value for the two holders that attach well to the vent and the spring on the sides was firm enough but the ball joint didn't work with my phone.
