Review on Trunknets Inc 6 3/4″ Antenna MAST for Dodge RAM 1500: Model Years 2009-2019 - Brand New by Kevin Hutchison

Unfortunately this short antenna didn't fit me. I have a 2018 Ram that originally comes with an old school 31 inch antenna. I bought it for two reasons: 1- it was shorter and more convenient for automatic/touchless car washes, 2- it looks cleaner without sacrificing sound quality. I acknowledge it. suitable for car washes and I don't have to remove the antenna every time I drive it through the car wash (about 1-3 times a week <unlimited membership). I drive about 190 miles a day and the noise and distortion is unbearable at the moment. I didn't listen to the radio during installation. Sometimes it took the quality of the HD channel but kept buffering. I live in a huge city (Houston, Texas), so reception should be the least of my worries, right?When driving under overpasses, I would sometimes turn off my radios as well. I went ahead and installed the original back. Connecting via Bluetooth and streaming Iheartradio/Youtube/Prime Music was my only option but it was draining my phone's battery. I plan to return it maybe with a different brand or maybe with a longer antenna? I set it to 5 days but replaced it with the original. Wise assessment: It is easy to install. It's not exactly good value for money. The sound quality isn't great and I couldn't stand the noise anymore. Might be a different experience for other consumers but I'm sorry it was a disappointment on my part. I am attaching a video of what happened.
