The first surprise with this item was that it looked good in the pictures but the white and gray "box" is actually cheap styrofoam. Also, it has a cheap plastic liner inside that you have to fill with LOTS of water before inserting the actual shells, which you then fill and fill with even more water. For these 10 small ice cubes you use a lot of water. It's kind of a pain, it feels cheap and the resulting ice cream after 2 tries until everything was ok was not 100% crystal clear as in the picture nor were they perfect balls. There is a crease in the middle as well as small protrusions at either end from the water holes in the trays. It's not a good experience and I give it back.
