I bought this mat to replace an old one that was in my garage/laundry room. The problem that I had with that old mat is that no matter how much I would use different carpet tape or even duct tape in desperation is that it would always roll up in the corners which would always cause my door to never close. With this mat, I have not had that problem, ever. This mat has been laying flat since the first day it came in. The mat itself has been great and really helps keep the dirt off my floor and stays on the mat. When it comes to shaking it, I can do it by hand and found that I can either hose this off or even wash it in my washer. I do choose to hang dry this, in the house for now because it's too cold and wet outside. However, this mat does not move or slide around either. Great quality mat too.
