Review on 🔍 Autel Autolink AL329 (Upgraded AL319): Advanced OBDII Scanner & Code Reader by Alex Jain

Reading reviews of Revain helps me make purchasing decisions and the very positive reviews here have contributed to my choice latest version updated AL319 in this price range. Received AL329 today. Well packaged and attractive machine that looks well made and reliable. The controls are intuitive and responsive, as are the menus. The guide is easy to follow and there is only one big gap so far. After selecting the desired update mode to initiate firmware updates from the menu, there is no option to return to the main screen and the device must be unplugged and plugged back in to return to the main menu. It is advisable to register and login on Autel website and download the latest firmware V1.09 at the time of writing. I hooked up the AL329 to a 2001 Suzuki Swift 1.3 liter as it was showing the engine warning light for a while. and I have tried the usual remedies such as B. Disconnecting the battery for a while and holding the odometer, but to no avail. The reader ran through the message "Waiting for vehicle response" and finally gave up and displayed an error message "Pairing Error". I've gone through all the listed fixes without success. Yes the ignition key was on etc. Still waiting for Autel support to advise me on a solution. It looks like it should come in the form of a firmware update. May be? I connected the car to my daughter's 2001 Ford Mondeo. Here AL329 did a great job showing code with an extended error message. Code P1080 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure. This explains the black spark plugs etc. Haven't tried this on my 2012 diesel VW Passat which requires a CAN reader for full diagnosis but I'm hoping the basic diagnosis will work. I hope to give this device a higher star rating. if and when tech support can solve my understanding of what a regular old car should be.
