I was really startled by all the reviews about them being so difficult to install on the rim. But I installed mine in 5 minutes. It didn't take long for me to realize that considerable force would be required. I'm in my 60's and not a tall person, but the power you have to use is your brain. There are several keys to making this job easier: 1) Get good tools, especially crowbars, at least 2. Don't do it. Do not use chiseled or pointed mounts. Here's the set: W2020 Performance Tool Crowbar Set, 4-piece 2) Heat the tires to make them more flexible. I used sunlight but I believe a hot water bath will do the trick as well. 3) Apply soapy water. 4) Inserting the first inner edge of the tire into the rim is very easy, so I don't give instructions. Putting the rest of the tire into the rim is much more difficult, follow instructions. 5) This is very important. Use a vise to hold the tire in place. Just clamp it to the edge of the rim, it won't damage the metal enough to cause damage. 6) This is very important. Climb or kneel on the hoop while looking out as the vise will hold things in place. When moving across the ground, either leave the crowbar in place or kneel/step onto the hoop to hold it in place while moving. Before you know it, you'll hear a nice gummy sound as the last tire pops completely off the rim. Yeehaw! 7) Use a strap around the circumference of the tire with the crank to press it against the rim. Use a good air compressor with enough power to ventilate it. Apply some soapy water to the tire where it meets the rim to ensure there are no leaks. After reading all the reviews about how hard it was for people I told my wife it was going to be a two beer job but I made it. done before I finished the first one.
