The quality of FM reception has definitely improved due to the improved amplification. Not only that, all the channels I could ever get on other devices with good reception quality in the same location were localized and working. Because right now I'm listening to WFMU, WQXR and WKCR in Jersey City. The AM antenna has been tested and works, but it's just an average and since the AM antenna can't be placed separately (because it's one unit) I went with the standard AM.
