I use wooden boxes with small drawers to store watercolor and gouache tubes and colored pencils in the studio. I bought it because I felt it would go with all the colors in one block. First the pros: no foam insert, which is great for me as I don't need foam and getting it out can be a real pain. multiple boxes all together in one place. The drawers with drawers seem very sturdy and well put together Cons: The drawers aren't deep enough to hold tubes of watercolor which is a pretty big con for me hence the 4 stars as I bought these specifically for my tubes of paint - and, This seems a very small amount too small. it will hold the pencils so I've now moved my excess pencils into the pad. not me
