This is a very durable metal fan with a nice vintage look. It's quiet enough even on the highest settings, but it's no whisper. We love it. We use it to transfer the heat from our living room fireplace to other rooms and it serves the purpose perfectly as well as being a decorative element! I took it apart slightly to get the dust out of the inside. It only has one Phillips head screw that needs to be unscrewed to reveal the inside. So easy with an intuitive design. The only thing I would have preferred is a tilt that's slimmer but still tilted. Tilt is just a slight tilt angle. Although it is not an obstacle for us.
