I got mine a week ago and set it up to switch between laptop and desktop. The first thing I noticed was that the keyboard and mouse connected to it were not recognized by either the laptop or the desktop computer, but the monitor switched normally. I checked all cable connections for the included USB connectors. I ended up replacing both of the supplied USB cables with cables I had from other devices (printers/scanners) and both computers recognized the keyboard and mouse straight away. turned off. I've seen other reviewers complain about the device disconnecting and reconnecting their USB devices. Try turning them off. These are likely the cables that were sent with the device.
